Food Trip Friday # 8

It's been a while since I visited this blog, and I'm so sorry for that.

Anyway, I promise to catch up with my posts here and for a start, this post is for FTF meme that I so loved :D

This post is special because it's for the 2nd year blogversary of FTF and since this is special, I'll be featuring also something special...tadahh

This is the cake that I made for my son's 1st birthday last Saturday. I know the cake can't still be compared to the works of a pro, but nevertheless what makes this cake special is mommy made it with LOVE and EFFORT. I spent nights cutting the letters and the designs. The fondant is prepared 2 days prior to the baking of the cake. And on the night before the party, mommy didn't sleep,kneading the fondant,decorating and prepping the cake for the party.

The cake's base is Choco Moist, with chocolate Ganache as the filling and frosted with buttercream. I used marshmallow fondant to cover and decorate the cake.

And that's it! Once the cake is sliced, it never reach the next day :D

Hubby is fond of Pasta in Pesto Sauce. Whenever he's craving for one, he will told me, "Hon, luto ka ng pesto." I am a pasta lover as well, that's why I always have pasta, in my cupboard, so that whenever Hubby or Sam request for one, I always have ingredients on hand.

Food Trip Friday # 6

My little boy just turned 11 months last March 1, and I'm happy that I was able to make him a cake. I know it's not that much good looking,since it is my first attempt on fondant decorating with only fondant cutter as a tool :D. Still very proud I've pulled it through.
